Midnimo Microfinance took part in a Mercy Corps consultation in Mogadishu on developing Somalia’s Risk Sharing Mechanism.
From 26 to 28 October 2026, our senior managers took part in a consultation in Mogadishu organized by Mercy Corps on developing Somalia’s Risk Sharing Mechanism (RSM). The meeting brought together government finance bodies, the Central Bank of Somalia, development banks, donors and financial institutions.
We discussed how sharing financing risk could expand access to Sharia-compliant financing and help more Somali businesses access the capital they need to grow.
