MMIC participated in AFRICONVERSE 2026 #3, jointly organized by JICA and UNDP, focusing on expanding economic participation through digital finance and advancing financial inclusion across Africa.
Midnimo Microfinance Institution Company (MMIC) participated in AFRICONVERSE 2026 #3, an international dialogue jointly organized by JICA and UNDP.
The session was held under the theme “Expanding Economic Participation through Digital Finance” and brought together financial inclusion experts, development institutions, researchers, and private-sector leaders from Africa and Japan.
The discussion focused on the role of digital finance in expanding access to financial services, strengthening economic participation, supporting underserved communities, and creating inclusive opportunities for women, youth, and MSMEs.
MMIC’s participation reflects its continued commitment to strengthening Sharia-compliant financial services, learning from international experience, building strategic partnerships, and promoting responsible digital financial inclusion in Somalia.
Through participation in international platforms such as AFRICONVERSE, MMIC aims to improve institutional capacity, strengthen global engagement, and contribute to the advancement of an inclusive and sustainable financial sector in Somalia.
