Midnimo Microfinance joined the GIZ EPIS workshop in Nairobi on preparing Somali small and medium-sized businesses to access finance.
On 26 and 27 August 2026, we joined the Financial Institutions Engagement and SME Finance Readiness Workshop organized by GIZ EPIS in Nairobi, Kenya. The workshop brought together financial institutions, government representatives, development partners and multi-stakeholder forums from Baidoa and Kismayo.
Discussions covered business records and cash flow, referrals to finance providers, and how risk sharing and blended finance could improve access to funding. Participants also discussed how to support businesses led by women and young people.
