Midnimo Microfinance joined financial and development institutions in Mogadishu to discuss a locally driven, Sharia-compliant lending-risk sharing model for MSMEs.
On 6 August 2026, Midnimo Microfinance participated in the RSM Roadmap Roundtable Workshop in Mogadishu alongside representatives of Somalia’s financial and development sectors.
Discussions focused on a locally driven, Sharia-compliant model for sharing lending risks, with the aim of expanding access to finance for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, supporting jobs and strengthening local economies.
Midnimo Microfinance thanked Mercy Corps, SOMMA, Sida, SDC, Inspire International, the Somali Bankers Association and participating institutions for their contributions to the dialogue.
